what the night knows by Dean Koontz

The Calvino's are a charming modern homeschooling family who band together to defeat evil. Kuddos to Dean Koontz on his portrayal of a modern day homeschooling family, thankfully you won't find any stereotypes here.

  1. Thanks for pointing it out. I'm excited for a non-stereotypical view of homeschooling. I've found a number of children's and YA fiction with homeschooling, but they tend to have at least one part where we cringe at how homeschooling is represented. Do you know, is Koontz's book considered adult fiction or YA?

  2. Adult Fiction.

Mystery, Suspense, Thriller, Supernatural. Would all be tags for it.

  5. Hello, I couldn't find a link to contact you. My name is Derrick Hibbard and I'm the author of a book on establishing good habits for college students, called College Fast Track. (And, incidentally, I was homeschooled as a child--though not the entire time) This book would be a great resource for homeschooling kids as a resource in preparing for college and I was wondering if you would be interesting in reviewing the book on your blog. If that is okay, I can have my publisher send you a copy (either a physical book or a kindle edition, whichever you prefer). Just email me at derrick (dot) hibbard (at) gmail (dot) com.

    Thanks,
    Derrick Hibbard
