Parents Approved Of Obama Song Lyrics - That Fox Calls "Indoctrination?"

  1. "I'm stunned -- I can't believe it's our school," said Jim Pronchik, who told FOXNews.com his 8-year-old son Jimmy was one of the 18 students in the video. "We don't want to praise this guy like he's a god or an idol or a king or anything like that. That's the wrong message to be sending."

That's one parent that did NOT approve....

  2. Pronchik also told FoxNews.com that he NEVER received any lesson plans.

  3. And another parent found the controversy "laughable"

Nobody said he received lesson plans. He and the other parents received the lyrics to the song and none objected.

I imagine the lyrics were sent home. I know from working at a public school that often the parents don't bother to look at the material sent home with their children. The Pronchiks are probably one of those public school parents who can't be bothered to look in their child's book bag. Probably wouldn't even know their child sung the song if it hadn't hit U-Tube. Remember the song was sung TWICE, these parents didn't complain to the school after the first time. Where were they?

And less face it the most responsible 8 year old is likely to forget to give their parents stuff unless the parent reminds them by asking "do you have anything for me to look at today"

So 17 parents don't have a problem with it, and FOX news is making an issue out of the fact that 1 child's parent after the fact does. I think the Pronchiks just wanted to be on TV, if they truly had a problem with it they had ample opportunity to complain before the song was sung or after it was sung the first time.

  4. The parent said lesson plans, but I believe they meant lyrics.

There are other parents that have children that go to that school (not that class) that were shocked, upset, and horrified that this was in their school.

Granted, that SOME parents, may not read the paper work that comes home, but they shouldn't have to worry that their children would be involved in a politic slant, that included support and praise for our current sitting president.

You know as much as I do that if this was done while Bush was president, that if school children were singing his praises while he was our sitting president, the out cry would be just the same if not worst. I would be horrified if this was going on during Bush's area.

There is a 2nd video that surfaced last night with public school children, at public school function, in NC singing Obama's praises. (The first was in NJ)

Like it or not Obama is our sitting president, and NO child as apart of public school function, or during public school hours should be singing the praises of our sitting president. I would say the same if McCain, Bush, or any other Republican was in office. I would say the same if any other democrat was in office as well.

That and with the Empire State building being lit up today to HONOR Communist China's anniversary, people have the right to be worried and concern with where our country is going.

I really don't believe they are making a mountain out of a mole hill. Thank-you for allowing me to share my opinions here.
