I couldn't agree more! I know what the NC case did and how that sounded off around the HS community, until some of the facts started to come out.
Divorce is never nice, pretty, and/or easy. Children are ALWAYS deeply effected by divorce, there is no way around it.
It's very common for children's social, economical, housing, and educational status to change as a direct result from divorce.
Children's schooling routinely change as a result of divorce. It just doesn't make headlines the way "homeschooling" does.
Do I feel bad for these kids? Of course I do, I feel bad for all kids that are are directly effected by divorce, however lets call a spade a spade when we see one and not try to masquerade it as something else.
