Science being used to support dogmatic traditions is definitely a misrepresentation of the facts!

Oh and thank you for reminding me of the phrase Theistic Evolution...lol...my tired brain couldn't think of it so I spent oodles of time trying to explain the conceptAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14114569.post-40735773897875757052010-02-02T15:26:52.745-06:002010-02-02T15:26:52.745-06:00I completely agree, Alasandra. People who cannot accept the cold, hard evidence that is right in front of them are too unrealistic for my taste.Pauly D.noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14114569.post-30501911578427607432010-02-02T14:32:43.042-06:002010-02-02T14:32:43.042-06:00My problem is with those who refuse to separate Sc...My problem is with those who refuse to separate Science from religion and insist that Science must fit their religious dogma regardless of the facts.

I am a huge supporter of Theistic Evolution.Alastriona, The Cats and Dogs https://www.blogger.com/profile/13233710830920626326noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14114569.post-66166789764392160272010-02-02T12:03:47.117-06:002010-02-02T12:03:47.117-06:00I think that science and religion can co-exist qui...I think that science and religion can co-exist quite peacefully. I teach my kid real science, because science is science. I also teach him religion, because our spirituality is important. I'm not a creationist, but I'm not a hardcore secular science believer either. I believe that there can be a middle ground where God and science exist together to prop each other up. Science doesn't have to be exclusive, nor does spiritual beliefs. The problem that can occur is that each group of believers villainizes the other set to prove that they are right. There's a great article that discusses this polarization: http://www.ucobserver.org/faith/2009/11/rescuing_darwin/Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14114569.post-44315671094020025872010-02-02T09:32:26.969-06:002010-02-02T09:32:26.969-06:00I've been reading up on some of Greg Laden'...I've been reading up on some of Greg Laden's blogs and you are absolutely right about his hidden motives. Just yesterday he wrote about a woman that was influenced so greatly by their program that she began to attend church and follow God. This struck me as odd...I thought this was supposed to be a Science fair? Last time I checked, Science and religion were almost polar opposites.Pauly D.noreply@blogger.com
