And so I would help them learn to take really good care of themselves and all their needs and thoughts and feelings and relationships and opportunities, to be the architects of their own lives by figuring out different ways to get the best value from their time, money and choices, etc.

It's quite an education done that way. :)JJ Rosshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03493570025415687789noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14114569.post-21959417482954972542008-05-13T13:13:00.000-05:002008-05-13T13:13:00.000-05:00PS: you are welcome for the link. It's the first time I have really thought about it. But I wonder how those kids who have had their every waking moment 'controlled' by someone else manage to manage their time wisely once they are on their own.

And does it really matter if we do Math before lunch or after? didn't think so.Alastriona, The Cats and Dogs https://www.blogger.com/profile/13233710830920626326noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14114569.post-70191595459271760032008-05-13T12:43:00.000-05:002008-05-13T12:43:00.000-05:00Thanks for the link. :) And I agree...the flexibi...Thanks for the link. :) And I agree...the flexibility is key. My daughter thrives on being given as much freedom as possible. My son needs a lot of structure or he goes nutty. All of how I structure our day is focused on teaching them how to structure their own time and gently leading them toward independence. It isn't for "crowd control" purposes.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
